What was your favorite arcade game growing up? What's your favorite game now?

I think I've only ever been in a real arcade once. The closest was the games in Pizza Palace when we'd go there infrequently. I remember the jutebox more than the games, I was more likely to put my money there (they had Hotel California, and for some reason, that was always the one I wanted to play!). But I do remember a few times of playing the Simpson's games with my siblings there.

The first real video game I remember seeing was Super Mario Bros, the first one. The first real games I played extensively were sidescrollers that we got from a family friend for our first computer (Commander Keen, and later Cosmo, woo!)

As for games I love now, there are a lot of them. We have a PS2 and Game Cube and Game Boys, so there are a lot of games floating around the house. The Spyro games were my favorites for the PS. Ratchet and Clank/Jak and Daxter are favorite early PS2 games. Kingdom Hearts of course. And now I'm learning the fun of Final Fantasy - I played FFVII and now I'm on FFX.

What song was the number one song on the charts the day you were born? How about the day you turned 21? What do you think about the song?

I can't say I've heard either of these!

When I was born, it was Johnnie Taylor's "Disco Lady".

When I was 21, it was Puff Daddy's "Can't Nobody Hold You Down".  I probably have heard this in passing but I'm not a big Puff Daddy/P.Diddy fan enough to know which one this is.

There were songs surrounding these that I did recognize, just not the actual ones on my birthday weeks.

Oh, and I'm pretty impressed that all of that info is on wikipedia. What a cool resource, yay for Lilia pointing it out! :)

After cleaning my nightstand, these were the books waiting to be put away. Most, if not all, were read this year. Plus more in between!

I've got $10k, part 2

Okay, I got to thinking about this again, and here's the less of a cheater answer...

I'd still give a thousand each to my sisters for their weddings.

But then I'd jump into the Apple store and get E and me each apple laptops and spend the rest on iPods and accessories for ourselves and our family members. :)

I don't think I'd have any problem spending all of that at the apple store, REALLY!

I've got $10,000 and an hour

If I was to hand you $10,000 and the only condition of the gift was that you had to spend it -- and spend it completely -- within the next hour, what would you spend it on?

My cheater answer would be to start by buying gift certificates. $5000 to Amazon, $1000 to Lane Bryant, $500 to Victoria's Secret (which would go a long way because it's semi-annual sale time ;) )

Then I'd give each of my sisters $1000 for their weddings.

That leaves me some money still... I'd go and book a room in a nice hotel for as many days as possible at the beach for our anniversary, i have the hotel bookmarked already!

Yeah, i said gift certificates were a cheater answer... but I don't like making speedy decisions, so I have a variety of key things I'd buy with those gift certificates, but I don't know exactly what models until I look a little closer (ie, a new TV, my own personal mac laptop, 2 Nintendo DSLites and games). The Lane Bryant money would help me really look terrific all the time instead of just the few nice outfits I have.

What fun to think about it. I know $10k isn't very likely to fall in my lap, but it sure is fun to dream. :)
