junk mail everywhere

The last few weeks, I have only glanced at my other computer.  But I've been spammed to high heaven and had have over 100,000 pieces of junk mail sitting here between a lot of folders, waiting to be deleted.  The problem with that is that it's too much to delete at a time, and just the thought of it makes my computer want to cry and it opens the folders very slowlllllly.

Anyhow, the last folder I was in, one of the titles just now made me giggle: "Work from Home ONLINE".  Wow, they are gonna have to do better than that, I've already got that one covered :P

chirp chirp

Yesterday, I said to my team in a meeting that I kept hearing a smoke alarm chirping every 5 or so minutes, and that the neighbors were hard of hearing and probably were not hearing it! It was a little disconcerting thinking it was ours and all that.

This early morning, one of ours actually started going off.  Increasing in time between the chirps until we both finally got out of bed and E dug out a battery and the ladder to fix it.

I guess the moral of the story is: that's what I get for complaining :D 
(and it's daylight saving this weekend and all the batteries should be replaced!)

Books, movies, music; what's in your top 5 right now?

Here's a nice assortment of some of my current favs...

• Books: rediscovery Gilbert Morris as an author.  He has literally hundreds of Christian novels, mostly historical.  See, I'm such a geek, I started a wikipedia page for him: Wikipedia: Gilbert Morris
• Books: overall, rediscovering christian fiction again (starting with my favorite publisher, Bethany House).  There's been so much written since I was a teenager and started getting our public library to add a few things to their library.  That same library system has thousands now, and I'm requesting them to catch up and it'll be a long time before I run out of good authors to read.
  
• Movies: Netflix.  The joy of watching movies again is not lost on me.  After so many years of missing movies, I'm back thanks to my queue.
• TV: Heros.  OMG, I've found a new love.  I realized how much it had pulled me in over last weekend when I was thinking "how many days until a new episode".  It's fabulous and I can't wait to see where they go next.
  
• Music: my Grey's Anatomy inspired soundtrack (see this post) is still my fav thing I'm listening to :)
  

And all that reminds me, I've got a book and a few of my netflix movies to enter into Vox! :)

QotD: What I Love About Vox

In honor of Vox's launch tomorrow, what's your favorite feature or aspect of Vox?

I have a lot of reasons to love Vox.  It's great, really.

• It brings all of my favorite things together - I was using multiple blogs to do different things (moblogging, private posts, photoblog, media blog), and now I can do it all in one place!!
• The privacy again lets me do multiple things in one place - before I was putting some things in one place for some people, and other things in other locations.  But now, I can put all my pictures etc. here and just set the privacy for who can see them, woo!
• It brings all of my favorite people together, with some of my favorite bloggers all in one place.  It's amazing to me to reconnect with some people I haven't had close by since my early blogging days.
• And it's so easy.  I can't help but love that :)

Yay for Vox, it really makes me happy!

7days...

I saw the 7 days in a Sentra commercial last night when we were watching TV.  I made E go back (we were fast forwarding on the TiVo) and he's like why?  I was like, just watch, these people are in Vox!  And then I laughed!

So in case you haven't seen it yet, there's the site about it here on Vox: 7 Days in a Sentra :)  I haven't watched all the videos yet, but the one I saw was funny.  This guy was actually living in his car for 7 days!
