RealSimple has a set of wallpapers with some of their "Daily Thought" sayings on them. These are really beautiful and seem like they would bring me inspiration on my desktop :)

Today, I saw in one of my emails that Real Simple now has some wallpaper images available for your computer, and they were quite beautiful!

That reminded me that I never shared the wonderful site that I got all of my current desktops from, InterfaceLIFT.  I have a folder that I call "Dark Generated" that has a lot of computer generated images in it that I've gotten from this site and a few of the Apple standard ones from Tiger (I'm not on Leopard on this computer).

I've been known to make a few desktop images myself.  It's been a while since I did it, but I still enjoy some of my love-productions ones from a while back :)

So how do I pick which desktop to show?  I use the option in Apple to rotate images, and this gives me a different look all the time.  Check out Mac 101: Change your Desktop at the bottom of the tutorial.  I set my computer to change every 15 minutes in a Random Order.  This makes me happy, hope you enjoy!

band of horses

One of the first things I did with my iPhone was to set a custom ringtone of Band of Horses' The Funeral because I love the intro.  It was on an episode of Numb3rs that I really liked, and kept getting stuck in my head.  It was in episode Breaking Point last season, when Colby was trying to find a missing reporter.

So now, every time the phone rings, I get the song stuck in my head again!

I'm not a big fan of the video, but you can see it on youtube and hear the nice beginning at least.  

Sunny walk

It's a beautiful sunny and I'm on my way to knit. We are meeting every week now and luckily my legs are stronger these days to make it!

Afterglow

Dude, why don't I do this anymore?  I am in love, sitting here with my headphones in, listening to wonderful music (Sarah, Garbage, Rob Thomas, Avril so far) and coding my little heart out.  This makes me happy.  

Timeline (Widescreen Edition)

E's working on a walkthrough for one of his games in the background, so we are both happy for a bit.  Once we get bored, we may even have to find a movie out of our collection to watch - there's a few earmarked as "ready to rewatch" or that we've gotten new (or new-to-us) on VHS or DVD.  Today, I found Timeline at Best Buy for 6.99 and snatched it up, that was just too good of a deal on a movie I'd been wanting to own.  But it hasn't been that long since we watched it, so it may not be the movie of the evening after all.

Back to my coding :)

New shoes

I'm all snazzy in my new shoes that show off my hand knit socks. That was the requirement when I picked them out, in fact!

Late me

Between leaving knitting late and being September it's dark earlier. I'm in the glow of the mall light here. I think I'll have to watch the clock more next time, I'd rather walk when it's lighter or get a ride. That does make it harder to get walking in!

Monday walk

I walked so early on Sunday Monday that 205 was empty below me. I was on a mission to walk to Jo-Ann fabrics and I made it on this nice long walk!
